Re: LE2 package installed and dynoed...
I need to go back and make sure that my friend and I installed the cam properly. We did NOT degree it per the cam card and a conversation that took place between Lloyd and Paul (my friend). As soon as this issue is worked out, Ill post new numbers if they change.
Re: LE2 package installed and dynoed...
Great numbers with a stock bottom end and no power adders right?!!
I have a very similar setup with an LE package heads/cam and new port matched LT4 intake sitting in my garage waiting for me to find the time and $$ to put them on with a few other mods while its apart.
It'll be on a A4 '95 TA, so I'm hoping for 375rwhp/tq or more would make me very happy.

No power adders, jus the LE2 package with all of his recommended supporting mods.
I dont know whether the numbers would be higher or not with us degreeing the cam or not, but I thought my tq. would be a little higher.

You wouldn't happen to have a datalog of the dyno pull or just wot driving? I have the same basic setup and am down on torque as well. I haven't been able to dyno yet. I plan on it next month. Btw will your car blow the tires off from a 30 mph roll?

Re: LE2 package installed and dynoed...
Well, basically we did not pre-degree the cam at all. I know that all timing is controlled by the computer, but Bret and Lloyd's specifications say to pre-degree the cam to a certain spot.
The friend who had a conversation with Lloyd about the degree of the cam must have misunderstood Lloyd because what he got out of it was that the cam does not have to be degreed, but rather that it is a 'bolt in setup'.
I guess thats why I sent Lloyd so many emails and had everything in writing, and when we did speak on the phone, I asked him if he could follow up with an email just incase I misunderstood anything.

Re: LE2 package installed and dynoed...
Your checking to make sure the cam and timing chain are ground to spec when you "degree" a cam.. well, when you actually degree it you make changes to advance or retard the cam.
My LE3 was advanced about 2.5-3*, so I used a 2* offset crank key to retard it and it worked out just fine for me and brought it close enough to spec for me to be happy.
Advancing/retarding changes where the powerband hits, not sure how/where it affects your #'s.
