Good rule of thumb: Manuals=higher dyno numbers Autos=run faster at the track
I know not always but most of the time...also autos dont beat the crap out of the rear end as bad.

As I know that autos will dyno less but will hold their own at the track...Just see what people are doing....and with what.....
Like an Auto with a big stall how much are they losing on the dyno...versus someone with a stock stall....A stock stalled car will probably dyno more...
My car dynoed 324 with stock stall....I never dynoed it with the 3600 or 4000 but I am sure they would have been down and the torque you really can calculate that either with dyno info....

As for an A4 on a LE2, LE3 setup with the mods, i would go more or less ~415 at the wheels. Also don't forget tuning more then half the battle.

But it's JUST an LT1
Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
I'm going to be running an LE1 setup on LT4 intake/heads. The work is already done, I'm just not done putting it back together. The mods I will have are, LE1 setup on LT4 casting, LT w/ catted y into SLP duel duel exhaust with cutout on I-Pipe. I will be running 37# injectors. The intake is port matched for the heads and opened up for a 58mm TB, the 58mm TB its self, mail in base tune then done myself via laptop, E waterpump, DR chain, arp head bolts/intake bolts/ rod bolts/ etc. This will all be going through a t56 w/ custom driveshaft into a moser 12 bolt (spool, 33 spline, w/ upgraded yolk) on a set of Hoosier slicks in the back and skinnies up front.
With me in the car it is back to about stock weight. I plan on dynoing 390-410 with this setup on a 10 bolt, less on the 12. And i plan on going high 11's N/A and high 10's on juice.

Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
I would maybe even do a little weight reduction to help even more. Hell atljar hit an 11.98 with stock heads and a gm847 on a 1.6 60'.
that to me sounds a little out there. im not trying to start an internet war, but thats fast as hell. and ive seen #'s and time slips, he must have SEVERAL other mods ( everything minus heads
i would like to know the other mods, and Llyods #'s also seem a little high to me. seeing dyno #'s. when you look at guys with a 383, heads, cam, LT's, and a tune with 380rwhp. how can a simple LT1 out do that with the same mods???. there is no replacement for displacement!
just my .02

Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
howcome LE's seem a little high when AI has even higher numbers... and they post dyno results of 400+ quiet often. I think it is possible. You can buy the best heads/cam out there that would make 500rwhp.. but if everything else is junk, then your results will be junk!
Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
Lloyd does know what he's talking about! Both he and Joe O. in different conversations said I should have between 360 to 370 rwhp with my combo. The 370 rwhp # was if I ditched the shorty's and went with some long tubes, which I did. Check my sig. for the #'s.
Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
There are alot of ways to loose HP (rocker adjustment, poor tune, bad 02 sensore, bad plug wires, bad opti, opti installed wrong on cam, bad fuel pump, etc) even if the right complimenting parts are used BUT the only 2 customers that have dynoed anywhere near 320 RWHP with my LE1 set up are JChevy when he had stock inj and stock fuel pump (installed new pump and inj and made 380 RWHP) and another customer that wanted an emission legal cam and did not have headers yet, This could be the customer you are talking about. We all know you can gain alot of power by switching from 15/8 to 1 3/4 headers, just imagine what manifolds and catalytic converters do to HP #'s, LOL.
As long as the customers use the parts that I tell them to, get GOOD tuning and do not make any mistakes like in my first sentence, they will be VERY pleased with the HP #'s.
I had a customer with an A4 and stall in an Impala make 415 RWHP with his 355 a few weeks back. Not that ALL LE2 customers wills ee this with an A4 and stall but this customer did EVERYTHING I asked and he was rewarded with these #'s. The more things you leave off the list, the more disapointed in the #'s you will be. That is not just for my heads and cam packages but ANYONES head and cam packages.

Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
and it is this attention to detail that i most appreciate and is the primary reeason why once i have my car home i plan on calling up lloyd to have him start some work for me. eventually i'll have a full LE3+ setup...i say plus because i'm gonna let him have at it and he said he can do the intake as well. lloyd seems to think there's more power in the 396 and i think he's right...especially if he's doing up the parts!
Re: LE2 ,LE3 A4 GUYS what kinda dyno numbers??
No doubt guys Lloyd is good and he knows how much power he can make with the right parts. I ran one of his basic ported stock heads (stock valves) with the LE2 cam and ran 11.61@117mph on the first track outing and a mailorder tune. This was also with 3.42's in the stock rear. I never had it dynoed but the car was 3,600lbs. back then so it had to be putting down 400rwhp or so with stock valves. I had all the normal boltons also. Goodluck Later Clint
