LE2 h/c on stock bottom end?

whats up guys, i have a 93 lt1 and it currently has 127k miles on the clock. my question is would it be better to spend 1,600 on h/c on the stock bottom end or save up around 4 grand or so and just get a crate motor(383 or 396)? my car is an auto and will probably be getting rebuilt with a 2800 or so stall in it....so tell me what ya think.

You will have to spin it to at least 6500 RPM to get the full benefits of the LE2 cam and on a stock LT1 w/ 127k miles you're on borrowed time.

That is true 127K is a lot of miles. Then again there is nothing wrong with a 355 and a LE2, that's a hell of a combo.

I'm about to put a similar heads and cam on my 81k mile stock bottom end...there isn't anything wrong with my bottom end so I just didn't see replacing it.
