LE2 H/C Question
hey guys i have a stock rebuilt 355 LT1 with stock internals. i was wondering on a heads and cam package like the LE2 would i have to use bigger injectors? is it really necessary? i know i have to do all the bolt ons but i just was wondering if i HAD to go bigger. this is going into a 94Z A4 Camaro.

on a N/A 355 you shouldn't have to upgrade injectors. just make sure the fuel system itself is in good shape(pump, filter, regulator and injectors). i know of a guy who took a 93 Z, stroked it to a 383 and put the stock heads untouched and 19pph injectors and it worked fine. the car sounded great. 94'Z's and up have 24pph injectors...you should be fine

i plan on spraying but not till about next year or so. i'm gonna do the build this summer. so should i stick with the 24's for now? how much do new fuel injectors run. say like accel. or is there a cheaper brand? i will probly spray a 100 shot with the H/C but thta's till next year.

I strongly disagree. It may have worked for your friend's 383, but an LE2 package needs SVO 30's at a minimum. Of course unless you want to run a significantly higher fuel pressure than factory to bandaid your injectors being undersize for the application.

You need to step up to at least 30lb/hr injectors. That's what I'm running.

I ran my LE2 heads with the stock injectors for a few weeks.. Swapped them out for some used 30# SVO injectors and really noticed a difference at higher rpm's. Unfortunately I don't have any datamaster runs before or after showing the difference in injector duty cycles at higher rpms..

Direct from them is the best I found, $280ish:

At 37#/h you have a little room to grow, and from what I read the Delphi/Lucas style has a good pattern and is resistant to fouling. Good luck.
