I got my LE2 H/C done a month or so ago and also love it!!!
I got the emissions cam as well, and am very happy with it so far.
I had the tune done by PCMforLess, and it seems to be running pretty good too.
I also have the noisy valve train too. Using the same comp pro-mag 1.6 rockers. I have mine set at 1/8 turn preload and they are a little like a sewing machine too. I installed an LT4 knock module in the PCM, and I haven't seen the timing retarded on the datamaster scans due to knock.

Yea, I think next week I will go back through the rockers and set the lash to 1/8 preload. I'm already running an LT4 KM, so no worries there.

I have a few other things to take care of as well. The TB is whistling, so I'm going to have to pick up a Dremel and smooth out the IAC inlet. Also idling a little high, so I need to play with the IAC and TPS a little more. And I think I broke one of the wires on my low oil sensor. Oops

I've started getting on her a little, and wow what a difference! I thought my car was fast before. And its LOUD. The gears are really holding it back though.

It's not. No "mating" necessary. If something were to break it would have to be blamed more on the component. Bearings, roller bearings and journals all have a layer of oil between them to eliminate friction. There should never be physical contact with a journal to bearing surface. Just sayin' for those who may think it's necessary....

Once the rings are seated, and you did a good oil and filter change, you should be good to go.

I just read your mods and it looks like you did not mess with the lower end. So, change the oil and filter and go have some fun!

Mine sounds like sewing machine factory too. I currently have Comp Pro-mags BTW. I have heard that Scorpions will run more quiet.

After my car ran for about 5 minutes with the new cam.... I put a pair of black marks down a couple warehouse streets. No need for break in. haha

You guys are a bad influence . The oil is changed and I'm already beating on it. I changed the TPS and the idle went down a little, but it's still high and RPMs come down kinda slow with the clutch in. Hopefully I get it running right so I can go get it dynoed this week.

Might want to run it on a dyno before you beat on it too much, make sure the A/F is at least somewhere near safe.
Just in case.

Fontana, about 12 miles east of Pomona.
