LE2 383 Idle AF

Im running an LE2 383, with a Innovate Wideband right after the cat and Im registering mid 14's at idle, but it STINKS! Serious, it stinks like fuel still. Also, the car doesnt seem to leave a stop smoothly. I am having to rev it up slightly to get it to go, otherwise it will buck. Any ideas?

Re: LE2 383 Idle AF

2 problems.

The wideband needs to be BEFORE the cat in order to get a true reading of the AFR.

Also, You have to aim a little high(lean) to get in the 14.7:1 range because of the valve overlap with that large cam. In fact you could even run it a true 16:1 at idle and cruise with no trouble.

I understand that the wideband should be before the cat, but someone told me that it would only skew the mixture about .2 Right now its showing 14.4-14.7 at idle. But it still smells and it doesnt come off of a stop too well.

Minute differences in befoe and after the cat from my experience (marine industry). The differences in one of our small engines was .01-.02 lambda.
