LE1 or LT4 Package?

Once I get my car running I plan on doing some extensive modding. I want to do a heads/cam package, and install it myself, because I could use the experience. The problem is finding a place to do it, but I will worry about that when the time comes.

I'm wondering which would be a better option for Me, the LE1 Package from Lloyd Elliot, or the GM LT4 Package which comes with heads/cam/intake etc?

My other plans are 3.42's, 30-36lb Injectors, 2800-3000 RPM Stall, LT's, ORY, Hooker Catback, SFC's, Springs, maybe Shocks or LCA's. 52 or 58mm Throttle Body, probably 52mm because I won't be pushing too much.

I want my car to maintain streetable, but be able to hit low-mid 12's, on my new ZR1's with Sticky steet tires, not drag radials. I'm looking for a nice/inexpensive package that will turn heads and be a bit impressive at the strip 4-5 times a year.

Re: LE1 or LT4 Package?

I know this might sound crazy because of the money involved... but i'd get the LT4 package then have Lloyd port that.

I love Lloyd and his work... actually. To be totally honest. I'd call him and see what he recommends. He is so upfront and honest it's ridiculous. He doesn't try to sell his own product for money, he sells it for customer satisfaction. He was unbelievable and my heads/cam came out amazing. Car sounds ridiculous... I can't wait to have it running perfect and dyno it (then track it)

The LE1 package will probably make 20rwhp more than the LT4 package and it would probably be cheaper as well.

Re: LE1 or LT4 Package?

LE1 package without a doubt. its custom made to YOUR needs. the heads will flow better and the cam will be optimized for your setup. send your intake to lloyd to get a little more out of the LE1 package. Even after buying roller rockers, timing chain, and everything else along with the LE1 you'll still be under the cost of an LT4 conversion.

I've heard nothing but good things about Lloyd. I would personally buy from him rather than the LT4 kit. I've never seen the first post on the site from any1 from GM to help us with our performance needs. Conversly Lloyd posts here repeatedly for us even if the setup isn't his work he goes out of his way to help.
