le1 le2 le3 ai185 ai200 ?

question is im looking for about 450 rwhp - current mods in sig = now where close.. so this brings me to a h/c swap and im wondering which i need to go with to get this kind of power... along with that i have now ill be getting bigger injectors bigger throttle body and porting the intake either by le or ai, also thinking about jumping up on displacement, so who makes a good 383 kit for the lt1 motor? preferably forged pistons anyways

Please do a search. I realize you're new to the board, but as a heads up these theads don't turn out well. Just search for past threads with similar titles.

I've heard good things about le, but i've opted to go with ai...http://advancedinduction.com/. I'm doing a 1200hp set-up, and ai will be doing the top-end...their h/c alone will get me at around 530-545 hp, and that's with around 8:1-8:5 comp.

both porters do top notch work. what you need to do is call and talk to both of them. i opted for lloyd and my car makes great power, but im looking to put the car in the 9's so its a toss up between the two for me also. time will tell.

I was thinking the same thing as soon as I saw the title. The thought came to mind "Oh boy, another urinating contest"!

You'll have excellent results with either one you choose.

What it takes to get 450HP at the rear wheels will depend on your drivetrain. Do you have an A4 or an M6?

450rwhp is possible even through a parasitic drivetrain, BUT is an unrealistic goal for an inexperianced builder/owner.
Cubes do not make HP, they can make HP more drivable but wont add it. HP is a function of airflow and everything above the block is what controls that.

I just have to shake my head when first it was a few guys hitting 400rwhp and then that became the standard and now more and more guys think 450 is just a matter of ordering a few part. These days 400rwhp is just a matter of the right parts and bolting it together right, 450rwhp is going to take a lot more knowledge and money at least to do it NA. You DO NOT need converted heads and a carbed intake as some would have you believe but it is still a lofty goal for most.

This is the reason I asked bout details of his setup. If he is running an LTX... no freaking way. I know a local guy who has a 8.5:1 408 LSX (with a single plane intake) and he made 440rwhp on motor and 860rwhp @14psi with a T88. The 440rwhp is approximately 520fwhp.

If hes going solid roller that's not a hard goat to obtain at all with the correct parts assuming its FWHP.

Notice that all the SR guys making 450-475rwhp are ~11.5-12:1 CR... try those number with 8:1... I dont think it will happen.
