LE1 or LE2

im doing a heads/cam set up, and cant decide which one to get. the LE2 will make more power yes, but when i rebuild, its gonna be a FI motor so ill most likely get new heads. so should i just get the LE1 package and not invest the extra money into the better heads? just looking for some opinions

Re: LE1 or LE2

le1 is more like a mix of a cc305 with stock heads, as far as power goes. go with le2

Re: LE1 or LE2

370rwhp vs. 390-400rwhp is that price difference worth it to you?

The setup later on will be worth more if you spend more, but it's still fractional.

Some of this depends on the time you have it too..... if you are going thru the work do you want all the power you can get doing the same work? 20-30rwhp is probably worth it.

BTW the cam is not just a CC305....

The CC305 is a little tamer and an older, albeit successful with the right application, grind.

Hell, I'd shoot Lloyd an email and see if that helps ya any. To me, his LE1 kit is sounding pretty sweet for the price, LE2, I don't know, I guess it really depends...

I think there is a 1.5 kit that is cheaper but is the same port job. Check that out.

Pretty sure the 1.5 is LE1 heads and LE2 cam. A nice inbetween combo.

I think the 1.5 is the same heads as the LE2 with different valves and retainers and the LE2 cam. Check it out thoughretainers

And apprently pretty accurate.
Most of the people who've had it done have nothing but great things to say.
and their dyno numbers are well within the estimates. I don't think I've actually read any negative reviews on Lloyd and Bret's work.
