LE is Lloyd Elliot. He has a head porting business in Texas.

1LE is an RPO code for a handling package.

1LE was a hard-core racing option that (originally) included air conditioning delete, hardtop only, manual windows, etc- it was light weight, with different springs and shocks, and stiffer bushings in the suspension- the earlier years were more dramatic, with different swing arms, panhard bushings, and so on- over the years it got softer, and, after about '96 they even came with A/C- the earlier ones even included fog light delete- they were serious about being built for racing- lots of info on the camarosource.ca website, for one- google is your friend!

yep, could be me (Lloyd Elliott) or the 1LE elbow for front of TB. These are what comes to mind when most hear "LE".

have a look at this link, if it is okay- the 1LE options are broken down by year- the older ones were more 'hard-core', really for racers, while, later on, they becoame more watered-down-

thanks for the info... i appreciate it. i must say i am a huge fan of the f-bodies (a former mustang guy), i am still learning some of the smaller details.. i just wish i would have came to this side sooner... these cars handle way better than any of the mustangs i have owned.
