I'm considering going with either an LT-4 conversion or and LE-1 package. Mac mid-lengths will probably be part of my project as well. The thing is, I have to deal with emissions testing in Cook County (Chicago). Anybody have experience with LT-4 conversion or LE-1 and Illinois emissions testing?

FWIW, I think the testing requirements in Cook County are the same as East St. Louis and the Quad Cities area.

You'll get more power out the le-1 head and cam package, call lloyd up he will set you up with a cam that will pass emissions, it's a custom cam so all he has to do is maybe increase the LSA.

 

He has a LE-1 Emissions Cam. You might want to run that on some LE2 heads for some more power.
