LCA Relocation.. Bolt vs Weld???

I've been thinking about getting LCA relocation brackets, I've read that they help on stock hight cars too (I hope this is true)

But are the bolt in just as good as the weld in?

If I got the bolt in ones would it be a good idea to get them welded up when I can? (it would be nice if I could do it in my driveway and then get it welded after)
and why are the bolt ins like 40 bucks more then the weld ins?

The "bolt-ins" have an extension on the LCA bracket that attaches to the shock mounting bracket. Then the shock bolts through the shock bracket and the LCA bracket. Slightly more fabrication involved.

If you are thinking about having them welded, just get the weld-in brackets. Avoid the complication of bolting up to the shock mount, and the added load on that part.

I bought bolt-ins, but then just ended up having then welded in when i had my SFC welded.

IMO, if your not planning to take them off soon and/or sell them.
then weld then, cuz thats the best way to make sure that the bolt doesnt get loose and thus causing problems with the brackets not evenly tightened.

The bolt-on's were designed to be the first choice between the two. Weld-in's are only needed when bolt-on's won't fit right.

The bolt on's have plenty of strength. Call BMR, they can help you out.

I don't know if this is true with all relocation brackets but the BMR bolt on ones WILL NOT fit an aftermarket rearend. That means if you plan on doing a 12 bolt or 9" in the future better just get the weld in ones. That is what I did. They are cheaper too.

If I do the weld in, how much is it going to cost me to get welded in? like how much work is involved getting them into the position to be wleded?

Why do you want the weld-in's? Did you talk to BMR to see which they recommend for your setup?

I've been running BMR bolt-ins for a couple years. Not a whimper out of them. They are quite sturdy.

i got the weld in ones, just had the shop weld them in for me when they did the LCAs and shocks for me. prolly just added 20 bucks for welding.

there both strong versions though, just depends on what you feel safer with, installing them your self or getting a shop to install them.
