what would it take to swap the dash in my 95 z28 with one out of a 01 z28?? i really like the newer style dash and i have the oppurtunity to swap one out. i guess the main thing im worried about is the cluster. will all the other stuff just plug right in?? what would i need to make this swap fully funtional??

basiclly im partial to the 97's but dont want to buy one--so i did the wheels tail lights and now i want to swap interiors.thanx

from what i heard only the 97 ones will work since the ls1 uses different wiring harnesses for the guages. I am not totally sure, but i have heard this is the same for firebirds, so why wouldnt it be for camaros....

 

well i will get a 97 cluster if need be but i want to make sure it will work first.ill just get the rest of the interior out of the 01.

 

people that said that they are....I've looked at mine and the LS1 version, looks the same to me

 

ya they r the same.the cluster just lights up differently. the differ between the years. like a 98 wont work in a 01 either.but as long as the cluster will plug in to my harness ill just get one out of a 97.
