Last minute Header install Questions???

Hey all,

Im about to install my JET-HOT LTs with Hooker Y-pipe. I think I have all the accessories for the install, but i just wanted to know what I will need to connect my Borla Cat-back to the Y-pipe with out a cat? I know i will have to scrap some of the borla tubing because its not exactly 3 inches at the end, but does anyone know what length of tube i will need or if it will need to have any bends in it?

Thanks for the help,

Matt

The Y- pipe should come out farther rearward then the factory Y-pipe. The borla will probably need 5-6 inches cut out of the intermediate pipe, and should fit right up to the Y

My hooker Y pipe came with the 4 spacers to lower the crossmember but it didnt come with the longer bolts. Check yours to see if they're included. If not, autozone has them on the shelf.

take it to a muffler shop and letting them weld and bend the pipe... much safer

mine also didnt come with longer bolts. it came with some bolts (not the ones for the ypipe collectors) but they werent long enough. I was kinda curious as to what i was supposed to do. Are the ones at autozone made just for this application or just universal bolts?

I think mine came with 6 collector bolts that worked fine, 2 new collector gaskets, 4 spacers, and 3 clamps. I took the original bolts to autozone and matched them up to a 1.25X40mm bolt. They are on a turnstyle with many other bolts. See if they have a 1.50X40mm and that will work better because these 1.25's were a little shorter than they should be.
