larger valves with the CC305

I'm not sure what the stock valve size is for the 95 LT1.
I have full bolt on's with a true dual 2.50 exhaust, long tube headers. I was wondering if putting bigger valve's would really help some, instead of doing a $$$
port job. Thanks

I was thinking like undercut valves. 2.020 intake, 1.60 exh.
I will also be using the CC305 cam.

I didn't think/know you could just put bigger valves on without cutting the heads. If you have to get someone to do that, might as well get them to port them too while they're off the car. That's what makes sense to me. If those are the only mods you have, you really need to do some research as to what would be some better invesments to make some power. Heads/cam is usually pretty far down the list.

You can get Lloyd E to port the heads and just reuse the stock valves (with a good valvejob) which is included. That is only like $650 or so and just buying bigger valves with installation(cutting the seats, valve job etc..) would be $400-$500. You will get alot more HP out of a port job then with just installing bigger valves. Good luck Later Clint

Re: larger valves with the CC305

Put in 2.0 intakes and 1.6 exhaust. That's plenty big,but ya will have to get a valve job.Anything bigger will cause valve shrouding and cost major seat work.
Anything bigger and ya will have to cut the pistons.
Check your piston to valve clearance after the install of larger valves. Whether ya have to cut the pistons is related to cam lift and ya can rent/buy the cutters to do the pistons in the block from ISKY.
