There are several laptop scan tools if you already have a laptop PC, I use DataMaster, its about $100 from http://www.akmcables.com/dss.htm

The laptop scan tool can record and playback. The Scanmaster only holds your highest and lowest readings.

Scan tool can display any sensor values that are input to the PCM...TPS, O2, IAC, IAT, timing, BLMs, INT, O2 cross-counts(tells you when the o2 is getting lazy)..and it goes on and on.
