I'm going to guess fuel pump or clogged fuel filter.

this could be why my first set went bad... the new o2's were put on way after the headers...

new filter and new pump... i have repaced just about everything on this car (everything except injectors and the ecm)

what about the new non traction throttle cable that i installed... could that be a culprit(sp)?

as for now i'm going to check fuel pressure @ wot...

update:
fuel pressure @ WOT is 50 psi (40 psi @ idle) and my pressure bleeds down instantly when i turm my engine off...(i thought it was to slowly bleed down)

Then I bet you are running pig rich, fp should be around 40-42 at WOT, same as if you unhooked the vac line going to the regulator at idle...thats because at WOT there is very little vacuum.
The "tune" does not know the fp, so its programmed based on a 40-42# fp.

how do i fix it... where do i start?

i guess the pump is good... should i just try to turn the pressure down on my regulator? or should i just get rid of the adjustable one and go back to the factory FPR...

Yes, if its adj, turn the pressure down. Any reason it was turned up that high to begin with?
Hook up a gauge to the fuel rail, unplug the vacuum line going to the regulator and set the fp to 42# then reconnect teh vac line and see how that works for you.

oh thats nothing. when i first installed the aeromotive regulator it was on 60 psi...

i adjusted it but missed the whole part about the vacuum line needing to be disconnected... so it was my own stupidity and ignorance...

thanks for your help...

One last thing, once you lower that fp, disconnect the battery for a few seconds and then drive it around a bit before going WOT, that way it gives the PCM a chance to "relearn" and readjust the BLM values....again, the last BLM value the computer was seeing before entering WOT/PE mode it will use to further adjust fueling during PE mode along with the additional fuel programmed in the PCM in the PE mode fueling table.

If when your done with all the fuel and electronic work and if it still has the problem you might want to look at your cats. If they are going bad because you were running so rich that will definatly cause power loss at WOT and if vapor lock sets in can make it harder to start as well. And most of the time, a bad cat will not trigger a SES light.

yep...the more vacuum your motor pulls the lower the fp will become at idle with the vac line connected...at idle its pulling the most vacuum...beside coasting down a hill and you dodn't need much fuel for either...
If you had a scanner you would have seen your BLM (block learn multipliers) all whacked and wayyyy off of 128 and would have known something was wrong.
