Frank, I'm offshore until next Sunday...come in Nov 5th. Will definitely get with you about the elbow. Just didn't want to keep bugging you with questions all the time. The Coors Light will not be a problem. Don't know about putting them in the same ice chest as the Bud Light though...lol

Trax, thanks for posting the pics, great comparison. Im probably going to order a set of Kooks and install them over the winter. How is the plug access on the Kooks? Can they all be reached from the top? Plug # 6 looks like it would be a little work to get to. Any info on plug access on both headers would be great!

As far as the y-pipe, looking at the pics, I would order the Mufflex y-pipe, which uses the Flowmaster merge collector, and then have it modified to fit the Kooks. The Kooks y-pipe looks like a design that needs to be improved upon

Thanks for the comparison.

Surprisingly, it looks like both sets have the drivers side primaries coming into the collector in sequential order. I'd say both have reasonably equal length primaries but they do look pretty short- especially the Kooks. The one thing that really impresses me about the Kooks is that they have fewer bends and a tighter packaging. I had a set of those Hookers and they were horrible to install- far worse than Dynatech or Pacesetters.

Sup dude it's mike from the MFBA! My Jet-Hot's are rusting bad mainly cause of the wonderful chicago winters. And since im throwing a new motor together I figured I would try the kooks out.

Are you still out in IL? If so I would like to take a look at them once you get them in car. I wonder if plug access will be better or worse then my jet-hot's.

Great comparison bro!

Mike

Plug access on the Kooks is surprisingly good. I can change all the plugs from the top without any problems. I have found it easier to change number 6 & 8 from the bottom because my dipstick is in the way and since I have a BMR K member, it's very easy to reach the plugs.
