Kooks Headers and Aftermarket oil pans...

Well, after 11 years my stock pan developed a crack from the base of the pan to the top ...we were able to weld the crack and it doesn't leak for now, but its time for a new oil pan. I had heard that there were issues with fitment with the Canton pan and Kooks stepped LTs. Anyone with a 383 running Kooks LTs and an aftermarket pan clearanced for a stroker? If so which pan? Any issues? I've already been running the small AC PF 454 filter for header clearance, if that makes a difference....Lloyd had PMd me before about fitment and I can't get an answer from Kooks...Thanks all...

I know you didn't ask this, but;

In all honesty...put a new stock one back on.

If I was doing my motor again or doing what you're doing I would leave a stock one on. My canton leaks like crazy. I've resealed it a couple of times...but it always comes back. Baffling is nice, so is the extra court, but the cost and leaks out weigh it to me.

Everyone I know with a Canton has leaks.

Well, I crawled under the car yesterday and nothing is leaking, so I'm going to leave well enough alone for now. It ain't the prettiest pan, but its stroker clearanced and not leaking...cool, more money for Bogarts....
