It's hard to tell from the last pic but it looks like you can kiss your starter good bye if you don't wrap it.

BTW are those made of stainless steel???

Nice touches with the paint on the water pump etc. and the LT4 intake looks good too.

how do you get a wrench on the plug2 (first on on passenger side).......it looks just as tight as the jethots.

Re: Kook Header Pics Installed!

Oh no, it clears the starter by a lot. No need to wrap it. Also as for number two, all you do is put a socket on there, and wrench away..Plenty of room..

wait wait wait.......you can actually stick your hand, socket, and wrench in THERE to change those plugs?!?!?!.....you must have gumby arms!

another question.........how about wrench clearance on the header bolts. with jethots, there are a few primaries that are too close to the bolt, so i cannot get a regular boxend wrench on it, i have to grind down the rim of the boxend so that is was much thinner and i can still only get a quarter-turn at a time.

Re: Kook Header Pics Installed!

In the last pic it looks like the wire is right on the header. That heat wrap will only last so long.

Re: Kook Header Pics Installed!

No I dont have tiny hands. And as far as header bolts, they are 1" long 12pt ARP bolts. They all went in, no grinding anything. I didnt have to slide the bolt in, then slide the header on the head, like I have been forced to do with my FLPs in the past. And as for the last wire, no, its not resting on the tube, it just looks like that in the pic...I will post better pics soon,,

keep in mind that the plug wire is a 10.4mm, and the heat wrap over the plug is about 2" in diameter, so the wrap could lay on the header, put the plug wire inside is not..

Re: Kook Header Pics Installed!

Those look like stepped headers. Am I correct? How high did you have to have the car off the ground to install them. Are the collecters bolt together or slip fit? Did you get a Y pipe or fab something?
