Hey guys,

About 2 weeks ago, I fired the Z up and she didn't sound just right. Plus, there was a light tapping noise coming from the engine. Long story short, one of the plugs was loose. The car has Edelbrock headers on it so that makes some of the plugs difficult to get to. It has new plugs and Taylor wires so I think whoever did the replacement before I got the car didn't screw the plug/s in tight. Anyway, ever since, she's been sitting in my garage as it's not a daily driver. I cranked it up last night to move it and once again, she didn't sound right and I hear the tapping noise from under the hood. WHile the car is running, there is a strong gas smell coming from the engine area. I didn't have time last night to dig in and inspect all the plugs as some of them are a PAIN to get to.

Do you guys think it could be the same issue again or something worse? The engine has 160K on it but well cared for miles. Thanks.

 

If you can issolate the noise it would help alot. Do you smell gas all the time even when the car is sitting for days?
