Knocking Noise Drives side front????
Ok I had to pull the valve covers do to some valve train noise I found all the rockers over tight! and 2 push rods bent
So I got new push rods put them in and now I have a strange knock comming from the drives side. Its a knock that is RPM sensitive also if you rev the engine it gets faster. Im snaffood someone said its a cam bearing another friend said its a Lifter not pumping up and another said its the water pump drive??
Any inpute or ideas would help a ton and thanks in advance.

How did you adjust the rockers? You need to pull the cover from the D's side and check it out---do it while it is running if you believe you can. Check the components of each of the valves, prs, rrs, springs, etc. Are your rockers stock or roller? SA or NOn-SA?
Is your cam stock or what?
Need more info. But at any rate, you need to isolate the noise. I.e. which side, which cyl. which valve, etc. JMHO

Its a 396 Stroker LT-1 .500 Lift cam Craine Roller Rockers
Noise is comming from the drives Side around the 1 cycl. right up front.
Adj. rockers by Rotating the eng. so when the intake valve is just about to open you do the exaust when the exaust just about to close you do the intake.
Never did when its running sounds like a messy job to me. I did run the eng. with the valve cover off on the drivers side and all looks to be ok all valves are opening and closing and no major ticking from the lifters just the loud A$$ knocking noise. It up top not down low. On the pass side It looks like we could have a dead lifter on the last cycl or the lifter is not pumping up. How do you do the valves with the eng. running?? Problem is we cant keep the dang thing running for very long it stalls out if you dont rev it a little

Also oil pressue is 40-60 psi so we have good oil presure!

I think it may just be dead

Hope it isn't too bad. BTW, when Adjusting the Rockers, if you did it the way you explained above, you have it wrong. I'm sure you meant Exhaust Open, Intake Closed and not the other way around.
