Knock under acceleration
As of recently I've been getting a knock when I try to accelerate faster than a Kia. I did a search for 'knock' and didnt see anything about knock only under acceleration... And to my knowledge a Connecting rod knock will happen all the time, which is what I'm worried about.
I thought it was bad gas at first but I just filled up with 93 and its still there. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Thanks in advance

knock can be caused by almost anything... stuff clanging around, loud exhaust, exhaust leaks, bad knock sensor, loose knock sensor, bad knock module... what you want to do is scan the car and make sure it is running right (meaning all values are within normal parameters). Then put in some 100+ octane race gas... real knock theoretically should disappear unless you have major problems. If it is still there it is fake and you should try a desensitizer on the circuit or a LT4 knock module.
How many degress are you getting at what RPM???

The easiest thing to check is whether your exhaust is banging around on anything under the car. Just crawl under there and make sure there's plenty of clearance between the exhaust, heat shields, under body, etc...
someone told me it could be carbon deposits in the heads, or dirty fuel injectors.
try a top end cleaner and fuel system cleaner, and good gas.
i did Sea Foam, Deep Creep last year, and just threw in Redline SI1 fuel system cleaner.
at least you guys can get 93. i can only get 91 octane here
