can I or should I get my knock tuned out. I have headers, 1.6rr and Lt4 knock module. My headers rub tranny, and I think its causing knock. If when I take care of that, and it still has timing prob. Can I get that tuned out?

 

It should be verified that it's not actual motor knock before knock retard is disabeld. This can be done by say using high octane fuel and if it still has knock retard than it's false knocking.

 

yes you can have you knock sensor turned off or limit the amount of retard the computer takes out.
