Knock Sensor - Wiggles

While doing the header install over the weekend I was able to get up close to the knock sensor on the block. Is it normal that it can wiggle a bit? The threaded part doesnt wiggle, just the connector going into the center of it.

The connector can spin around on the top of it. That does not mean it'ts not connected.

What if it does more than spin? Like move up and down and side to side. Kind of reminds me of crinkly straw.

Mine does more than spin as well.. it actually moves around (side to side, up and down, spins too) a good bit in there pretty easily

Have you tested the resistance? I tried once but I couldn't get it to register anything. I tried grounding it on the block and the outside of the sensor. I'm just wandering if something has broken with all of that movement.

As long as the metal contact on the connector remains in good contact with the terminal on the sensor, you're good.
