Will an LT4 km give you an ses light? I tried putting the LT1 km back in and resetting the computer but it still came back. Also when I first start the car the light takes about 3-5 seconds to come on. I got a new knock sensor so I know that's not the problem. This is is killing my performance and gas milage and I,m going to the track on Saturday so I REALLY NEED to get it fixed.

 

I can only answer this first part and say no, the LT4 KM will not give you an SES light. (Which should be apparent seeing as how you had an SES light with the LT1 KM installed.) Have you, or are you able to scan it to see which code is coming up?

 

It's for sure the knock sensor, I got it scanned last week. I don't know how it's affecting the timing becuse it pissed me off and I just left the shop.I just can't figure out why it takes so long for the light to come on. I think my compression ratio may be too high for pump gas but I want to eliminate other problems first.

 

If you dont think its the ks, make sure you have all the wires hooked up correctly, and that the connections are clean. If the computer throws a ks code, its prolly the ks or the wiring

 

im going with wiring problems somwhere. have you ever tried to do that knock sensor desentization mod? i did and got that code a knock sensor code a few times.. it would come on and go off every once in a while. what is the code btw?
