Knock Sensor Desensitization Mod, Resistor Question...
Here's a diagram on how to bypass the knock sensor with a flip of the switch:

I've purchased some 3.9k ohm 1/2 watt resistors, but I there are different colored "rings" on it, and I was just wondering if those "rings" needed to go a certain direction in respect to the switch and wires? In other words, does the resistor have "poles", or does it function the same way in either direction??

Those resistors go either way.

Personally I think a switch is very dangerous. If the computer thinks there is no knock, and doesn't retard the timing you could have serious problems when there is actual knock.
