So I was pulling my exhaust manifold out yesterday and found out my knock sensor is broken at the connector. I don't want to wait for an order from Dal or Jason to drive the car with LT's. Is an autozone wells KS acceptable? We also have pep boys here which sells Borg Warner. Is an acdelco KS worth going to the dealer and paying full retail for?

Also the threads appear to have a sealant-what should I use on the new one? Doesn't it ground to the block?

I actually run the napa KS and it works fine for me. (course most of my knock is tuned out). I think you'll be fine with any of them, but I'd get the borg warner instead of the autozone one.
