knock sensor

i have been having alot of lifter tap lately so ive decided to rebuild my valvetrain. I am going to use full self alighning roller rockers, but ive been told that the added noise will send a reading to the knock sensor. Ive also been told that to get around this there is a module from the lt4 you can use. Is this true? if it is where can i find one?

Re: knock sensor

you mean non-self aligning? And guideplates, it will be noisier, but a lot safer. Yea you buy the LT4 knock module, or you can get one of the tuners on the board to desensitize yours.

Re: knock sensor

Well if your gonna spin it high, you have the possibility of a self aligning "tab" slipping off and could break a number of things. With the nsa and guideplates you dont have that risk. Are you going to put a cam in along with new lifters?
