OK so any of you guys that have been following me through this rough journey of getting the stroker running good already know things that have been replaced etc...

So I get 7 degrees at idle which is the max that Ion set it at on his tune. But when I slowly give it gas it gets back to zero...I believe that this KR is causing my backfire issues out the intake when I blip the throttle of idle....
The problem is also that the car is running lean, but there is no reason why it should be..fuel presssure is perfect. Injectors are new...o2s are new..map is new and evern the harness is new. I know its running lean at idle because my primaries will glow a little and my plugs showed a lean condition...

So heres what I think to myself..Welll i could just tune it to not detect knock but the car is unning lean so I dont want to do that. If the car is pulling timing is it also pulling fuel... Also if my integrators for 02s show under 128 is it trying to add fuel or take it away?

I think that it is false knock though because I have SA promags with guideplates, long tube headers, poly motor mounts, poly trans mount, and just alot of things that would cause false knock on top of the stock lt1 knock module...

So basically theres two things Im wondering... Why is the car running lean when there are no vaccuum leaks and no mechanical reasons why like valve adj. etc...
And why I am getting so much KR at idle?

I dont start my new job til next week so I dont have the money to take it anywhere now and its been over a year since the old motor went and about 2 months since this motor has been in.. Im really just frustrated mor ethan words can describe and this car is getting the better of me...

Is the tune that's in it FOR the given engine build????
Have ya checked your fuel pressure?
Have ya talked to Madwolf about it?
Glowing headers could be from being to rich also.

 

fuel pressure is 45 at prime 44 at idle and holds it when I give it gas...The 02s are showing lean..The tune is from madwolf.....Quick question if the short term integrators are under 128 is it adding fuel or taking it away?

 

There is no reason for the engine to run as lean as you describe on the tune you have. You can send me a log and I'll take a look at it.

I will be at FLP tomorrow afteroon and at www.mrozcompleteauto.com on Saturday doing some dyno tuning. If you want to bring it over, I can take a look at it, or we can even dyno tune it if you want.

 

Yeah, my car did that after the motor build. After 2 mailorder tunes and a dynotune, we just zeroed the KR in the PCM. My shows lean at idle too, 160/160, but I can smell raw fuel coming out the exhaust, so I know it isn't really lean.

 

Hey what time are you going to be there at? I was suppose to be bringing my car there anyway on Monday to get looked at.. Ive been talking to Phil@FLP about it so maybe if we cant fix it I can just keave my car with them..I tried logging with datamaster but it wasnt working right so all I have is a freescan csv log...Its my car from a cold start until it gets into open loop mode.
