How can i determine if i'm experiencing knock retard on my car?

 

Run a scan program such as TTS data master or freescan. It is money well spent. You can either buy the cable from some place like AKM data cables or build your own. Free scan tends to lock up on my corvette but may work fine on the F-body. As for th ecable I have both the bought version and a home madeone and they both work fine.
