Key and resistor chip question, how to wire

What you really should do now is get a key cut that has the correct resistance value...
I see it as involving taking your OLD key[with pellet code # 6 ] and getting it cut as a pellet code #15 key, that should allow VATS to be plugged back in, and work correctly...
Dealer also has a machine that will measure both key values..
Keys are about 20 each I believe...

I was told that locksmiths have blank keys with different resistance values.I will porbably go I get a proper key made ina future for $20 or so. I was very impatient to start my car last night, had to do some resistor matching
