Keeps Dying

Hey guys, my 94 Z keeps dying on me without warning. I'll just be driving along and wham, off it goes. It is happening more frequently now. If I leave it for a few minutes it usually starts again, but will die again after awhile. I've replaced the Opticrap twice already in the life of the car, do you all think it is that AGAIN or some other possibilities? Thanks for any help!

Check the OPTI harness (small recessed 4 wire connector, kind of a PITA to get to on the passenger side top) and the coil/ignition module harness. Both are fairly easy to check, when the car is running properly, just wiggle them around gently and see if the car dies.

You can get a new opti (non-vented) for around $280 and it doesn't take long at all to replace. You can save yourself big bucks working on your car yourself.

Yeah I know it is probably not that bad to replace myself except i live in an apartment with no real good place to work on it and absolutely no time. I work almost full time and I'm in pharmacy school full time. <sigh> only a couple more years of school then I can buy a house and rebuild my Z.....
