I keep blowing a fuse underneath the hood. Got a code 048. I have volts to the pink wire on MAF, It looks like wiring harness is up against the header on drivers side. I guess it could be a short in the wire, but how do i know for sure?

 

What is the fuse designation?

You have a blown fuse and wiring against the header. Your course of action would seem clear.

 

It is the Fuse that goes to the MAF.
How do i fix a melted wiring harness?

 

Remove the pin from the connector and put heat shrink tubing on it. OR wrap each wire with electrical tape. Then wrap them together.
