keeping close to stock compression ratio

im trying to figure out which type of piston i would need to keep a comp. ratio of 10.5-11:1, im doing a .030 over rebuild and im keeping stock heads. Will flat tops do it for me or do i need a dished piston. Thanks for the help

im pretty sure flat tops will do it for you, or whatever those things are that come in a stock engine.

That depends on how much you deck the block and shave the heads and what head gasket you use. Lots of calculators out there to run the numbers on.

You need to figure out what the specs of the motor are- Gasket thickness, chamber size, deck height, etc and then you can play with the piston to see what you need to get your target c/r.

Here is one of many calcs-
https://www.camaroz28.com/calcs/cr.html

You need to figure out what your making and the variables and then you can find the answer to your question.
This should be discussed in gen tech forum though, transfering.

Thanks.
