keep blowing a fuse....

keep blowing a fuse....

i have no interior lights and instrument gauge lights because the #13 fuse keeps blowing. almost instantaneously when i replace it. ive tried a 10 amp fuse in there and that blows instantly also. how do i find the problem?

I just had this prob in my Blazer and remedied it by pulling all of the interior lights (the Blazer has 6+) and reinstalling until the fuse pops. That is pulling the whole light assembly and disconnecting the wires. If the fuse keeps blowing after removing all of the lights, you've got a wire shorting somewhere. Grab the test light and a few beers and have a blast tracking it down, lol. Mine turned out to be a broken wire connector on the rear dome housing that was shorting to ground. Good luck.
