K&N cold air induction for traction control LT1?

FWIW, when I put my K&N CAI on my 97 Forumla with TC, the fit was painful. Here's my guess why:
On the cars with TC, the brake lines coming off of the master cylinder run a different route than non-TC cars.
These metal lines get in the way of the CAI bellows that runs from the Air Filter (in the left front wheel well), to the throttle body. When I installed mine, anyway, those lines barely let the CAI bellows fit. It took a bit of elbow grease, and patience, but it eventually fit. Then, I looked at the K&N FIPK instructions, and it said "not for cars with Traction Control", go figure.
