The Canton will fit,I am running one.You have to put torque washers(thick) between the block and motor mount(doesn't hurt a thing) to stop rub on rack. Don't know about taking it off but you can get a stock pan off of a stock K member by jacking the engine up. So it "should" come off. You may have to turn the crank while coming off.

Sorry, don't mean to hijak this thread, but I'm going to install the bmr k-member tomorow, and have the canton pan. How thick are these washers and doesn't that affect driveline angle.

Re: k member and oil pan

About 1/8" and they won't effect the angle enough to worry about. Shaft angle is not a 1/8" science.

Re: k member and oil pan

I agree with most of whats been said (is that correct grammer?... ), but when I changed my oil pan I had to jack up my motor and loosen the K member bolts to get the stock pan out.
