Just seafoamed the car

I approve! Got a decent smoke show, but nothing like I've seen from some people. Idles smoother, revs quicker, accelerates better. Nothing DRASTIC but I can definitely feel a difference. I didn't do the crankcase treatment, I just get too nervous about ruining a bearing. Did the top end treatment, gas treatment, and sprayed the deep creep through the TB. Decent little project today, and for the price of the improvement (~$10) it seems like its worth the money.

So if you're a little nervous about doing it to your car, don't be. I can't give any opinions on the crankcase treatment, but you will benefit from doing the gas and top end treatment.

I did the full works treatment a month ago. I didn't get anything dramatic though. Maybe the car was seafoamed already before I bought it or the engine just isn't very dirty.

what all do you do for a top end treatment? i figure its just used as a gas additive for the gas treatment, and as an oil additive for the crankcase treatment.

what is this and what does it do? I've used gas additives such as injector cleaners and such... but whats this seafoaming? Sorry if this is a dumb question, just never heard of it.

Seafoam cleans out all the gunk and carbon built up in your engine. It also lubricates the upper ends of the cylinder banks. The full treatment is a full can into a full tank of gas, half a can in the crankcase, and the other half of the can is slowly poured into a vacuum line such as the brake booster line.

Thats the basic summary of how to do it. The stuff only costs about 5 bucks a can. The usual interval for treatment is about every 10k miles.

The guys over at ls1tech have a great how to for it.

Look at the link posted in post #6, it goes over the top-end treatment very throughly.

I have run it through the TB before, works well. When I took my last engine apart the valves were super clean. The white smoke cloud of death is impressive with a dirty engine.

I would not put it in the oil for fear of something wierd happening to the bearings. Only oil should go in the crankcase, I dont care what the can says IMHO.

Ya putting it in the crankcase makes me nervous. A lot of people do put it in there with good results. However with my luck I just didn't want to take my chances.
