Thumbs up Just put in my headers..

My BBK ceramic coated headers came today and I got them installed this afternoon. They fit great! I didn't have to open up any of the holes on the flanges and everything fit perfect. Very happy! I took extra time to cover and relocate some of the wiring on the passanger side to make sure that the wiring harnes would not get damaged due to heat. I started the car in the garage with just the Y pipe and no exhaust and it was loud as hell! It difently has a better sound to it, not a 700 horse motor sound but a good one none the less. I can't wait to finish the intermediate pipe tomorro and take the car out and drive it! Later.....

Good to hear!
I've heard both good and bad things about BBK's.
I acutally had a set of thhe 94-95 and thhe 96-97 ones in my possension at one point in time. They looks pretty decent to me. But i just heard that they tend to leak and fittment was an issue.
Hope everything works out with them though!

I just have the chrome BBKs, but I am happy with mine as well. Only problem on install was one of the O2s didn't wanna go in, but a little bit of grinding inside the bung and it was no big deal. I saw about .35 and 3mph in the 1/4 with mine.

Good to hear your happy with them, headers are one of the best mods you can make, and as far as which are the best headers i think if your comparing shorties then they are all very close to one another.

Well I just got the car started today after finishing my new emitions non-compliant intermediate pipe, it sounds great!!I took it out and drove it and it feels great, definate SOTP increase. But that may not mean a whole lot because I had a loose plug before but feels good none the less!

Hey Brian, I pretty much have the same setup as you. Except I have TPiS 94-95 Headers and y-pipe. All Jet-Hot coated. How long did it take you to install them? Took me about 22 hours total, from start to finish. That's with my buddy installing a new offroad pipe. I also started mine with just the y pipe, wow, LOUD!!! I also have a cutout, so I can hear that sound whenever I want. I cut about .3 off my 1/4 times, that's with a miss. I'll get back to the Track this April and try it again. I think opening day is April 19th at the track by my house.

Black_Z28, they took me abought 20 or so hours. I took my time though to make danm sure that nothing was burned by the headers. Hey how close do you live to grove creek? I am guessing that is the track that you are refering to..

Congrats on the headers! I am installing my MACs this weekend, along with 1.6rr, new plugs and wires. I think I should feel a gain from that. I can't wait!
