Just installed random tech hi flo cat, quieted the car down big time!

I had to pass emmissions here, and of course needed to ditch the off road pipe and get a converter. I bought a random tech universal 3" in and out and had it welded on. Before installation you could hear the car lope very noticably, and now you can't!! All you notice is the idle is a little rougher than stock I have mixed feelings on it, I liked hearing the lope but being louder it caused me to feel like I was waking up the dead in the neighborhood at night! Now the car has a deeper rumble to it. I'm sure I'll get used to the new sound.

BTW also passed emmissions with flying colors.

Congrats on passing the emission.
I know what you mean about waking up the dead. I'm supprised that my development has not banned me yet from starting my car up.

I live in a sub-division and have true dual Bullets. Somehow, I haven't gotten called on yet. I hope that doesn't happen.

Cool. Did you find one for a good price anywhere? The Random-Tech's are so expensive. Anyone compare them to the Carsound high flow cats?

I bought the converter from thunderracing. It was on sale for $140, now it's back to $160 ish. Just a simple 3" in and out 11.5" long converter. Pretty tiny actually.

I should also add that I can't feel a decrease in performance.
