Email them and see what they say. I have not had dealings with Alvin, but Bryan did a great job dyno tuning my 95...

Alvin can usually be reached easily HERE. Don't be so quick on the tune, he knows what he's doing. You did install the chip correctly, right?

same road? same temp? same day? unless all these are yes, tire spinning cant be a power gauge.

Re: Just installed PCMforless

Not even 2 minutes after I sit down I got a IM from him. Either its just too hot to feel a nice gain today or we missed something on the tune. One definate possiblity is that we missed something as he ordered the chip for 30' Accels.. When I talked to him I asked if the injectors where yellow and he said no.. So either he was lied to when he bought the car.. or the guy who sold him the car really did have 30's but of different brand.

I don't see how oyu could expect to get the max out of a mail order tune, when you don't even know what mods you have on the car. That would be impossible for anyone to get the tune exactly right.

That is a very good point. Perhaps someone had the car tuned before for some of the work you are not aware of, and PCMforless didn't include that in their tune simply because they (and you) don't know what has been done. Get in touch with the previous owner if possible and get a more complete idea.

Re: Just installed PCMforless

Well, no big deal. I understand his situation..

If he finds something important as far as modification that wasn't mentioned I'll be happy to go over it for him.. just mail it back.

If he can get a datalog I can also review it and hvae a better idea of whats going on.
