Just got a z28

Hey guys just got a new car so I'll be hanging around here a bit. It's a red 96 z28 vert with an A4 bone stock. Not quite the ls1 6spd I dream of, but I can't complain. I traded in my pickup for it straight up, and I think I got a decent deal. I would upload some pics but they're way to big, if someones willing, I'll forward them.

the ls1 is nice up top but you cant beat the "pin you in your seat feeling" the lt1 gives you

Welcome to the forums! The guys here are pretty helpful and the cat fights are funny as all hell! There's nothing wrong with the lt-1 though. Who needs the top end of a ls1 when your riding an R1? Haha just a lowly 02' F4i over here <-----

Re: Just got a z28

I didn't realize that the Ls1s had no bottom end, if so then I'm glad I don't have one. I just rode in some a few times, they were modified so maybe that's why I was thrown off. Don't get me wrong I like the Lt1 and how it gets up and goes. Comming from a 4.3l pickup, it's a big change.

I plan on doing some minor things to it, like a pcm tune, intake and catback then I'll probably call it a day for the motor. I love having a convertable in AZ, but I really need to tighten up the suspension on this thing. It's way sloppier than my old firebird.

Nothing wrong with an F4i BTW. I started off on a 2003 zx6r. The R1 is way to much bike for the street, 180hp and 400lbs, damn thing does 90mph in first gear!

Re: Just got a z28

Re: Just got a z28

That's what I've heard. I won't ***** it up since this techinically isn't the right forum. But when I had el cheapo knockoff sfc on my t-top v6 it killed almost all the rattling. I think the only ones available for the vert are kbdd, so I guess that's my christmas gift. In the meantime I'll pick up a stb because I heard those will help for cheap.
