Just got back from the track, VERRY dissapointed!

Well, i went with high 12's as my goal, expecting to leave with nothing less then a low 13. That deffinatly didnt happen.

First and best run,
13.9@104MPH with a 1.066 R/T(i know)

Second run, spinning first and second,
14.9@102MPH 1.094 R/T

Last run with a friend in the car this time,
14.0@102MPH 1.099 R/T

To say the least the track was crap. Some 04 S/C cobras were running high 13's low 14's though a heavily modded one with DR's ran a 12.5 so... My first and last run traction wasint much of a problem. If i went to a better track would that make much of a difference? I think im going to do some weight reduction and maybe see if Ion can do anything else with my tune. If i got a set of 4.10's or 3.73's how much would that actually help? Their was a 98+ Z28 with a blower, dr's and demon(?) tuner running low 12's so maybe i just suck with the 6 speed.

Do you have any suspension work done at all ? If not, there lies your problem.

Actually, RT isn't important at all as it does not affect you track times in any way. Your biggest problem is 2.73s with an M6. That's worse than 2.73s in an A4. Put some 4.10s in that thing and things will change drastically.

how do you even drive that car around. you must change clutchs every 200 miles. Get 3.73 gears at least

You got a 2.4 60'. That is horrible. Just by going to a "normal" 2.0, you will shave .6 off your ET. You need to work on your launches, traction and get better gears.

Well, if my car dosint spin it really dosint pull until it gets around 3k RPM. I cant launch at all, its the stock clutch and if i try to dump it the damn thing just slips. That was only my second time to a track ever so i guess im just bummed i dumped thousands of dollars into my car for my 130k+ mile stock motor and auto to run better.

Here's another vote for the gears. Those are killing it.

I would definately run a 4.10 gear. You got two gears that are overdriven so you'd still be able to knock down decent mileage on the highway.

I'd definately go withh atleast a 3.73 gears, drag radials set to 13 psi, and a set of tubular adjustable lower control arm with rod end bushing/poly bushing combo. that should drastically drop your 60 ft time. Also try launching it at 3000 rpm with those 3 mods.
