Just bought my first fourthgen yesterday...95 z28, auto 85,000 miles.Ok now the Problem.. Long Story So bare with me..

It drove perfect yestersay no problems at all...so today i got an oil change, after i get it done i start to notice that it likes hesitating really bad wene u press in the gas about half way....so i try wot...it hesitates for about 3-4 sec and then jerkes really hard i mean Really hard...so im like ok something wrong...i hear the intake system whistling really load now...so i think wene they changed my filter it lossend it from the throttle body...so i take it off and its ripped to hell on the bottom..i tryed getting it on there as tight as i can..i have a bbk throttle body so it has a big opening, but it still is really load....and still runs like sh*t..

Do you think i should just get a 1le elbow, or do you think a opti, or egr valve or 02's could go out in one day???

And will the 1le elbow fit over a bbk Edelbrock tb??

Thats what my z sounds like during the winter
when my fuel tanks filled with crappy water gas

 

could be anything from fuel filter/pump to spark plugs/wires. i would check the little stuff first.

 

Well i might sound dumb, but the car wont even start if the whole system is off the TB.....is this supose to happen???

 

Well if your intake elbow still doesn't seal properly, that is your problem. Get it replaced.
Yes, the car not starting with the elbow off is normal.

 

pop the MAF plug and see if it goes away. If it does you have either a bad MAF or a bad leak between the MAF and the TB. The MAF is the sensor located in the Intake just so you know. If you unplug it the PCM goes into Speed Density mode. Intake elbows are cheap. I bought the vortech elbow from Summit for like $80 I think and its been awesome.
