Just bought ET streets
Just bought ET streets
Ok, I just got the 11.5 x 16" ET streets from Summit (10% off
) but do I need to run the tubes? I know this has been debated before but for those not running the tubes, have you had any problems. They will be mounted on a stock 16 x 8 salad shooters. Thanks.

Answer me this what purpose do the tubes serve? I am about to buy some et streets already mounted without tubes. How do these tire hook compared to nitto drags? I am sorry to crowd your thread with other questions, but I was just wondering?
Thanks,
Steve

These tires are softer than the Nittos and are just like a slick wiht tiny grooves. The BFGs and Nittos are more of a tire you can actually drive on the street.
From my experiences everyone gets better times with these.

I have heard of people running them with as little as 10-15 lbs of air... So, I'm thinking that you will probably be fine in most cases. I don't know for sure why the recommend running the tubes, but it would make sense that if you're running just 5psi there's a good chance that you could pop the bead loose from the rim. It's either that or run a beadlock (screw) setup

At the track, you ever notice some guys will have a white line painted on their slick? That's so when they watch the video, they can see if the tire and the wheel are spinning at different speeds.
