Just bought a 95 vert
Just bought a 95 vert
i just got myself a 95 z28 vert for a daily driver
i keep telling myself i'm not gonna beat on it, but we'll see
i had a few questions about it
the whole c.a.g.s. thing, how does it work
my asr light is on, the guy said he thinks the button is broken because playing with it can get the light to turn off, i dont know anything about asr
i looked at the data link and it looks like an obd II connector, it has 16 pins
i didnt jack up the car to look for a crank sensor yet but, what the heck?
other than that i think i'm good and enjoying the nice new ride

Re: Just bought a 95 vert
i forgot to mention, the flowmaster muffler, is a little bit too loud for my taste, and the taste of my neighbors
i didnt take a close look but it looks like a 3 inch pipe into the muffler
what kinda muffler can i get to quiet down my ride until i open her up without reducing exhaust flow?

Re: Just bought a 95 vert
The '95 is a mixed up breed on the data link. Yes, it has the OBD2 connector but, you have a OBD1 computer (no crank sensor).
Under a certain RPM the cags will force you to shift from first to fourth. You can just rev it up a little more for it to let you into second or they have simple connectors to overide the CAGs. On some models you can just unplug it off the tranny.
Don't know anything about quiet mufflers.
