jumping out starter?

jumping out starter?

Is there a way to jump out the starter other than a screwdriver across the terminals? The reason is that there is no y-pipe on the car,and i dont want to be deaf.

connect a wire to the small terminal, a alligator clip will work, then fish it up top,

to crank, touch the wire to the positive post of the batt
