I was told that Jet Hot basiclly copied Hookers header and just made them tougher with thicker flanges and such.Does anybody know if this is true.

yes, that is true. If I remember correctly, they did make MINOR adjustments to the routing of 1or2 primarys, but nothing major. The collector flanges come out in the same location so y-pipes are interchangable between the two brands. The Jet Hots have a little thicker gauge primaries and 3/8 flanges, and O2 bungs welded in the collector.

I went with Jet Hot because of the better features, plus they are cheaper than the Hookers, and have a better coating.

 

True in a sense, but they're not exact copies.

 

Thats what I wanted to hear.I'm thinking of going to Jet Hots but I love the pipe routing of the Hookers.Just wanted to make sure it was close to the same.

I got my LT from JetHot a long time ago, and the headers say hooker supercompn.... on the drivers side. does that means that I have hooker lts or Imitations??? When did JetHot started making their own headers??

they used to coat Hookers and sell them (of coarse they will still coat them), but they have been making thier own for about a year and a half.

 

yeah... that's what I though...... Not to long ago I started seening the JetHot vs Hooker stuff and I was getting a little confuse!
