JETHOT slip-in #1 primary weld it?

OK, i understand people just slip it in and clamp it, and im sure it seals ok, but i wanted to get opinions on welding it from people who have done it and their experience with installing. Thanks, but anyone else actually done it besides 97 redss, Thanks redss for your help as well.
